Written and recorded from October 2018 to February 2019 in Vancouver, British Columbia Canada. This album was inspired by a bout of sleep paralysis where I awoke to find myself unable to move. My head thumped with the deepest bass frequency I had ever hear. At the foot of my bed I felt a presence, but was unable to lift my head and look. Channeling those feelings of terror, I set about making an electronic album through the use of heavy bass, distorted drums and samples of guitar riffs I had originally intended for a metal record. While cassettes don’t tend to sound as nice as digital media or records I believe the crispy overdriven tones lend to the atmosphere of the tracks. I hope this creeps you out, and at the very least I hope it makes you want to dance.
